Tears //Warman Wedding Photographer

There is a story behind every image I capture. I am a storyteller my heart. It’s just the way I see a day unfold. ⠀

The bride’s mother passed away before the wedding. She was an only child and very close with her parents. I normally cry at weddings, but this one was extra emotional. It was hard to keep it together for the whole day. And I was just the one documenting it.⠀

As the Father of the Bride took the podium. He smiled and said that he had a video to share with everyone. On the projector screen appeared the bride, about three years old. She was dressed up in a wedding dress and veil. Her dad conducted an interview with her about her wedding and who she was going to marry from behind the camera. The bride danced around the room singing and replying to every question. Then you realized that there was someone else laughing and inaudibly prompting some of the questions. Suddenly the camera panned over to her mom sitting on the couch in the corner of the sunlit room. Smiling and laughing at all the intelligent and sweet answers her daughter gave. This image here is the reaction from one of their guests when her mom first was noticeable on screen. Having this small presence of this amazing woman attend that night’s reception brought the house down. Not a dry eye in the room. I know that the bride would have given anything for her mother to actually be there but took comfort in the fact that her mom did get to see her in a wedding dress before she passed. ⠀
