Where did it all start?
Growing up in small town Saskatchewan allowed me to have an appreciation of close relationships. That drew me to capturing wedding and elopement days.
I received my first camera on my 18th birthday. It was my late father's. He had passed away the year before. Having his camera with me, as I left for University and navigated my new world, I felt like he was still near me. In a way he is responsible for where I am now. I used that flawed Mamiya film camera throughout my 4 year at school and receiving my BFA, graduating with honours (honestly, no one cares that I graduated with honours except my Mom).
Because I know what it is like to lose someone so close to me I photograph a day differently than most. I capture a wedding focusing on how the day organically unfolds. I document the in-between moments and interactions between my couples and their family members and guests.
I am INSPIRED by my couples and the love they have for one another. Wether your love is quiet or energetic, I want your images to reflect you and your relationship.
